Privacy Policy

This site sells a WSUS PowerShell reporting script. Payments are processed by PayPal; delivery is by email with a private download link.

1) Data we collect

  • Purchase data: payer email, transaction ID, amount, time, and currency (from PayPal’s notification).
  • Delivery data: email address, generated download link, link status/expiry, and download logs (timestamp, IP, user-agent).
  • Support data: messages you send via the contact page or email.
  • Technical logs: standard web server/page hosting logs (IP, user-agent, referrer, date/time) to operate and secure the site.

We do not profile users and we do not sell personal data.

  • Order processing & delivery — to sell and deliver the script; Art. 6(1)(b) contract.
  • Invoicing & bookkeeping — to comply with legal/accounting duties; Art. 6(1)© legal obligation (France/EU).
  • Security & fraud prevention — to secure payments/downloads; Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interests.
  • Support — to answer your questions; Art. 6(1)(b) and/or 6(1)(f).
    No marketing/newsletters are sent.

3) How long we keep data

  • Accounting/transaction records: kept for up to 10 years (French accounting/tax rules).
  • Download logs: 12 months to evidence delivery and combat abuse.
  • Support emails: 24 months after last contact.
  • Technical logs: typically 90 days, unless needed longer for security/legal reasons.

4) Recipients & processors

  • PayPal (independent controller for payments). See PayPal’s privacy notice.
  • Email provider (Microsoft O365) for sending/receiving emails.
  • Site hosting (GitHub Pages) for serving this static website.
    We share data only as necessary for the purposes above and to competent authorities where required by law.

5) International transfers

Some providers are outside the EU/EEA or may store data globally (e.g., PayPal, Microsoft, GitHub). Transfers rely on adequacy decisions and/or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and provider safeguards.

6) Cookies & similar tech

  • This site itself doesn’t set non-essential cookies.
  • PayPal’s checkout button (on the Buy pages) may set cookies strictly necessary for payment and fraud prevention. Because these are essential, no consent banner is required.
  • We do not run analytics or advertising trackers.

7) Your rights (EU GDPR)

You can access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object (where applicable), and port your data. To exercise rights or ask questions, email yann.gilles@sellig.online. You may also lodge a complaint with CNIL (France’s supervisory authority).

8) Children

Our products are for professionals/adults. We do not knowingly collect children’s data.

9) Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version is always available on this page.
